They are easy to operate, lightweight, and small in size, making them ideal for off-the-grid adventures, canal & lake cruising or ripping, or turning heads at the sand bar. I was introduced to Mini jet boat kits on September 7th 2020. A friend was looking up videos on how to make RC boat hulls and Thomas Hewitts "How to build a Jet Boat Kitset" was one of the videos in the search results. After watching it I immediately wanted one. Thomas made it seem so easy to build it myself. I thought how perfect to have a boat that's built like a tank, has all the bells and whistles you could ever want, is small and light so easy to manage & stow. Light so it's so easy to tow.. I mean the endless possibilities! I thought how cool to not only own a boat but a boat that's both rugged and luxurious and affordable! A nice boat that can take a total beating and come back for more! Yes please! I got started in the process the same day. I needed to build one. I needed to learn. 4 years later I built the very first ECm mini jet boat myself after learning the trades necessary. I had a lot of experience already in different trades but I had to learn so much more. It took me 1 year and 11 months from start to finish on my own. I needed to learn every aspect of the build process so I can train welders I planned to hire
